LET'S SHARE!
First of all, I am honored you took the time to visit the Bright Sky Connections website! I want to share a little bit about myself so you can learn about my journey and hopefully you can relate on some level or at least it can be a spark for some good conversation!

I am from the Pacific Northwest originally (Spokane, Wa.) and have been in the Austin area for nearly twenty years. I love sports, new adventures, deep conversations, and watching others succeed. I am the proud father of 5 children: Jayden, JJ, Landon, Bridger and Brynlee (oldest to youngest). I can 100% relate to the peaks and valleys of parenthood along with the celebrations and the challenges it provides! I have had the priveldge to be a special education teacher for over two decades, working with with students that recieve services ranging from but not limited to: AU, SLD, ED, ID, ADHD, ADD, TBI, VI, TS and a plethora of other challenges to overcome daily. I am so proud of the students I have worked with and each of their stories, it has been truly amazing to witness the growth and celebrations (along with the challenges to work through and overcome) my students have shown and continue to show post-highschool. I currently work with students who are on the spectrum and have set backs with emotional regulation along with any specific learning disability they are affected by. I am truly honored to be a teacher and to have the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the families and students I work with at the high school level every day.
Bright Sky Connections, the name itself, is inspired from the optimism provoked from a clear blue sky on a sunny day doubled with the understanding that connection as human beings is as important as the air and water we need to survive. So, let's be optimisitic and learn to connect! We both know it is not that easy, for any of us let alone our children or adults that may have social or emotional challenges; however.....as parents we are eternally optimistic about our children (and adult children) in wanting them to experience real, intimate and meaningful connections with others that are both intentional and reciprocal throughout their lives and into adulthood. I have seen, felt and absorbed first hand the impact and growth that is possible with one on one coaching and support for both the adults and students I work with privately and over my career as an educator. Please do reach out and we can have a conversation about any specific areas you may need help or support with and if I can help to close any gaps you are feeling for yourself or your student! Thank you again for visiting my site!
